What is The CarKeeper?

The CarKeeper was founded by Markus Watkins in 2021 under the name Pistonheads Engine Technologies as a mobile vehicle and small-engine repair business. Since then, he has grown it and decided to change the business into an online service, seeking to help as many people as he can without having to travel to multiple sites. He is a full-time mechanic from southeastern Pennsylvania, who began by learning to work on cars with his dad and his late grandfather. Since he was young, he fixed RC cars, built K'NEX cars, repaired mowers and bikes, and anything he could get his hands on. His first engine rebuild was on his first car, a 1998 Ford Escort. He's successfully rebuilt multiple motors and fixed a wide range of vehicles, from a Ford Triton V10 6.8L to an International Harvester 392SV, with others in between. His passion is helping people with their cars. He can't be everywhere to help those in need, so his goal is to create this resource to help others learn their vehicles. He seeks to create a credible space to provide clarity and advice, as well as products and news. Thank you for reading and we hope you'll join us on this journey to potentially help the entire world find answers here.
