Heritage Reincarnations

Heritage Reincarnations is a showroom of the projects we have been involved with. We believe in preserving the history of our automotive ancestors. We also seek to capture the ways and pictures of the past by reincarnating as many vehicles we can. History dies each time a classic vehicle is sent to scrap. Here is just a small sampling of the beginning of Heritage Reincarnations.

Big Blue first found in the woods

The Beginning

When "Big Blue" was saved from scrap, the 1970 International Harvester Loadstar 1800 had been sitting for an unknown amount of time. The floors were rotted out, the engine was seized, and the wiring was eaten by some unwelcomed rodents.

The Engine Rebuild

The front clip was removed and the engine was torn down. The issue was thankfully only a locked cam, but it was a great time to rebuild the top-end. The heads were rebuilt, all parts were cleaned and painted, and the engine was reassembled. The 392SV was almost ready to reawaken to it's new life!

First Start And Drive

The engine roared to life for the first time, after 2 carb rebuilds and a lot of research. The floor was refabbed and the wiring was rewired. Big Blue was awakened once again!

Getting Ol' Blue Home and First Car Show

Big Blue was driven about 15 miles for the first time in many many years. After pressure washing, fresh paint, and some patriotic patronage, Big Blue was taken to his first car show in 2022. Check out the slideshow to see the progress!
